Checklist for Missing Vault Ribbon/Menu

    Overview

Vault Ribbon Tab / Menu may be missing inside AutoCAD or Inventor even though Vault Client is installed in the system. How to get back them?.

    Resolution

You need to ensure you have the Vault add-in installed for the respective CAD applications. To Check whether it is installed or not, do the following

    1. Close all the running applications.
    2. Go to Control Panel->Programs and Features-> Select Vault (Release) Client->RMB Uninstall/Change-> Add or Remove features
    3. Ensure Respective CAD (Release) Add-in is checked. If not check and update the installation.

This should bring the Vault Ribbon / Menu. If you do not see them even after doing the above, refer the following information.

    AutoCAD Add-in Information:

    • For Windows 7 and Vista - C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ [product name] \R18.1\ [lang] \Support

    Inventor Add-in Information:

Ensure you have the "Inventor Vault" and "EDM Add in (Hidden Add-in Member)" is loaded in the Add-in manager inside Inventor.
