Autodesk Smoke Prerelease Trial 1 is a fully functional version of the current 2013 Smoke software. However not all intended features for the Autodesk Smoke 2013 release are included. Over the course of the pre‐release trial period Autodesk intends to introduce additional features.
NOTE: Given the pre‐release nature of the software certain parts of the application have not been fully tested and you may experience instability, slowness or crashes. We encourage you to report such instances to the AREA forum to help us better test the final release version.
The following intended features and workflows are not included or not implemented fully in this pre‐release version of Autodesk Smoke*:

You may see the following error message if the media storage in unavailable when you start the Smoke 2013 Pre-Release trial:
Error: The Media Storage Location Used by Smoke is invalid or missing. Please check the settings in the Smoke Setup utility. (Press ESC)

|Action||FLPR-6241||Crash when setting Tail media to Use Black and scroll the play cursor past the last frame.||Be in 1-up view to make sure you do not display the schematic and the result at the same time.|
|CER Error Report Mechanism||SMOK-7065||Under some conditions the CER report window will never pop-up. This tool is used to send engineering information about crashes experienced by users.||We encourage you to wait for this window to pop-up and give us as much information as possible about the circumstances under which the crash happened. But if it takes too long to pop-up, you may need to force quit the application manually.|
|Connect FX||FLPR-6072||Pan and Zoom won't be kept properly when exiting and re-entering Connect FX.||No workaround at this time.|
